First of all, what is transparency? It is a buzzword thrown around carelessly and often times it's hard to understand the meaning of transparency and especially its worth. The politically correct  version is: Transparency is operating in such a way that it is easy for others to see what actions are performed.

I prefer the more simpler and agile version: Transparency is all about the speed of execution. 

Nevertheless, what I discovered in my research is that transparency contains within itself more than just openness and speed of execution. Transparency contains within itself an enormous amount of power over any organization and every leader needs to know the source and benefits of that power.
